Comparisons of L'Oreal Caresse Lipsticks in Blushing Sequin, Velvety Fuchsia, Revlon Lip Butters (Peach Parfait, Sweet Tart, and Raspberry Pie), and L'Oreal Colour Riche Balm in Heavenly Berry
I love bright colors but I don't always want that OCC lip tar, pure color, overpowering look on my lips. I often will use a lipstick that is ridiculously bright, then blot a million times, and then put a gloss or balm on top. With one swipe of the Caresse lipsticks, you don't have to go through all those steps to get the same look-- a sheerer bright color with a sheen.
If you don't like glitter, you should be aware that these have microfine duo-chrome shimmers in them. They don't feel gritty or can't really be seen unless you come within an inch of it. (Unlike the YSL Rouge Volupte Perle in Sparkling Fuchsia, which I could feel the sparkle particles on my lips. I hated that)
PROS:
- Feels weightless (lighter than Chapstick), similar feel to Blistex Silk & Shine
- Beautiful, vibrant colors
- Leaves a light stain (but nothing like the Revlon Stain Balms)
-Soft, fruity scent
-Doesn't leave lips dry, but it's necessarily all that moisturizing
CONS:
-Wear-time is not very long, but I don't mind reapplying.
I agree... the Lip Tars are really good for bold looks! But for something more subtle, these lipsticks look amazing! They seem like something you can wear everyday!
